Arnd 9plus started jogging and during my second round was arnd 10ish pm, this particular place smells of strong fragipani which during my first round that same place did not have any smell of fragipani. i think one possible reason the deity’s face was covered in red paper/cloth is because the deity haven’t 「开光」. this is to prevent wandering spirits from “entering” the statue. as it is said that the eyes of the deity statue are the “point of entry” for the deities to enter the statues.

another possible reason is because the environment is not “clean and holy” for the deity to reside in. it’s out in the wild. so out of respect, the deity statue’s face is covered in red paper/cloth to prevent exposure to that kind of environment.

After 2001 , the site was then disused and taken over by SPF .
